KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing for sightings of a van in which the body of a woman was later found.
Detective Sergeant Ross Levy said the van -- a Mitsubishi Delica, registration CCF392 -- was used by a husband and wife to travel to a wedding at Upper Hutt at Easter.
The body of a 35-year-old woman was found in the back of a van at a Lower Hutt house on Monday.
A 35-year-old man later appeared in Lower Hutt District Court charged with murder and was remanded in custody to reappear on Monday, April 16.
He was given name suppression.
"The movements of the van from when it left a Heretaunga Square, Upper Hutt address to when it returned to Taita, are critical to the inquiry," Mr Levy said.
Police are appealing for sightings of the van between 12.30am until 4.30am on Easter Monday and sightings anywhere in the Lower or Upper Hutt areas.
