Police investigating a fatal crash near Timaru over the weekend are calling for any witnesses to come forward.
Daniel Anderson, 40, died in the three-car collision shortly before 4pm on Saturday. Five other people were injured, including a 7-year-old girl.
The accident happened on State Highway 1 at Pareora.
Nowofficers investigating the accident are encouraging anyone who witnessed it to contact them.
Sergeant Kevin Reynolds said they were keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Anderson's vehicle - a black HQ Holden - before the crash or anything else that may help in their investigation of the circumstances.
"We understand there was a white car travelling north along SH1 around the time of the crash and we would like to speak with the occupant/s of this car, as we believe they may have witnessed something that could be useful to the investigation.''
