KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing for sightings of a man they believed robbed a Palmerston North dairy at gunpoint last night.
The man entered the Rangiora Mini Market, in Rangiora Ave, about 7.20pm, brandishing a gun, said Detective Constable Matt Akuhata.
He demanded, and got, cash from the person working in the store and then fled on foot.
He is described as being 1.6m tall (5ft 4in), of skinny to medium build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue trackpants with shite stripes down the side and white sneakers.
His face was covered with sunglasses and a black scarf and he was carrying a cream coloured backpack.
