The search for an Auckland man missing for three days in the Bay of Plenty continues today.
The search for Stephen Jensen, 47, of Howick, began late yesterday in bush near Waitawheta, 9km southwest of Waihi, Sergeant Dave Litton of Waihi police said.
Police and rescue volunteers would search bush between Waihi and Paeroa today.
Mr Jensen was reported missing on Monday after he failed to turn up to work.
His car was found about 5pm yesterday at the start of a series of walking tracks.
The area backs onto Karangahake Gorge and walking tracks leading to Mt Te Aroha.
Police were seeking information on any further sightings of Mr Jensen or his car, a gold coloured Toyota Echo hatchback, registration number ZT2990.
