Police are appealing for sightings of a young man wearing a distinct green and white tracksuit and baseball cap in the West Auckland cul de sac on the day a Chinese woman was murdered.
In the latest development in the hunt for the killer of 69-year-old Cunxiu Tian police say they are now focusing on sightings of a man in his 20s, wearing a green and white tracksuit and a white baseball cap in the Glenvil Lane area around midday on Friday.
"If you've seen anyone fitting this description in the Te Atatu area on Friday, please call the Op Nepal team on our 0800 number (0800 77 22 71) or phone the Henderson Police Station (09 839 0600)" said Detective Senior Sergeant Roger Small, Waitemata Police.
Information could also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
