KEY POINTS:
Former All Black Doug Rollerson and ex-Kiwis league captain Hugh McGahan should know today if they will face trial for fraud.
Rollerson and McGahan have been attending a depositions hearing in the Auckland District Court this week. They are accused of supplying Touch NZ, the North Harbour Rugby Union and Team Harbour Ltd with false invoices in an elaborate scheme to defraud sports organisations out of charity money from poker machines.
Also charged are Touch New Zealand former chief executive Dick Arnott, former Touch NZ employee Geoffrey Alan Thompson and a woman who has name suppression.
The depositions hearing had been due to last four weeks but just four witnesses have appeared and prosecutor Anita Killeen said yesterday afternoon that a decision on whether the accused would be sent to trial was expected today.
