Poeple on the move

* Mark Anderson is the new national retail manager of Bayleys Real Estate. He has been with the firm for three-and-a-half years, specialising in retail leasing projects.

* The director of Auckland operations for Hitachi Data Systems, Roger Cockayne, has become general manager and director of sales. He has managed computer centres and large technical departments for Boots Chemists in Britain and Databank in New Zealand, and before joining Hitachi in 1998 he was IT general manager for Pacific Dunlop Distribution Group.

* Strathmore Group Ltd has appointed Peter Sanders as chief financial officer. He has had 18 years in corporate advice and financial management roles and has worked for Solution 6 in Australia and as chief financial officer/commercial manager for Xtra. He has also held senior consulting positions with Coopers & Lybrand and KPMG in Australia and Britain.

* Tim Mew is joining eVentures as chief technical officer. He was telecommunications manager for iHug and has also been senior engineer at Clear Communications. Chartered accountant, Craig Manning is joining the firm as chief financial officer. He was finance and administration manager for the London-based private client stockbroking firm Killik & Co.

* Gavin Mitchell has become business development manager for WEL Technologies Ltd. He has been in the IT industry for 18 years, and has held senior positions with Advantage Group, Prism Software and QED Software.

* The former personnel manager for the Bristol police, Laura Bailey, is the new HR manager at the Carlton Hotel. She has moved to New Zealand with her husband.

* Roberts Ejubs has become front-office manager of the Stamford Plaza Auckland and Sean Hallissey chief engineer. Mr Ejubs was at Rydges Hotel in Canberra and has also worked in hotels and resorts in Queensland and Sydney. Mr Hallissey was chief engineer at the Sheraton Auckland Hotel and Towers, and has also worked in hotels in London.
