KEY POINTS:
Prime Minister Helen Clark is off to Spain on an official visit tied in with the start of America's Cup sailing.
Before landing in the kingdom she will make a one-day stopover in Lisbon, the first visit at prime ministerial level between the two countries in either direction.
Helen Clark will hold talks with Portugal's Prime Minister, Jose Socrates.
In Spain, she will have talks with Spanish PM Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and will call on King Juan Carlos and a range of ministers.
She will also participate in trade and tourism promotions associated with New Zealand's America's Cup challenge in Valencia.
Helen Clark will be there as the cup fleet begins final preparations for the Louis Vuitton challenger series starting on April 16.
On the way home she will visit Singapore.
