Morning Report host Sean Plunket will become the news tomorrow, as he faces off with Radio New Zealand in an employment dispute.
The star and his employer will be before the Employment Relations Authority after the company refused to allow Plunket to write a political column for Metro magazine.
Plunket argues that he should be allowed to contribute to other media that are not in direct competition.
It is understood he will raise examples of other staff - including Kim Hill and Simon Morton - who have worked for other media.
Radio New Zealand spokesman John Barr said the company had a policy of not discussing issues affecting staff members.
The authority hearing is due to last two days.
