As if Mother's Day isn't enough, Plunket is celebrating today ... it's the organisation's 110th birthday.
Plunket says New Zealand communities have changed a lot since 1907 but its services are still a valued and vital support for new parents.
Chief Executive Amanda Malu says Plunket has grown from a Karitane home for babies in Dunedin, to a national organisation supported by 1500 dedicated staff, and even more volunteers.
She says the difference it makes in the lives of the children and families is only possible thanks to expert staff, selfless and hard-working volunteers, and the support of Kiwi communities.
Amanda Malu says today is about thanking them.
