National Radio presenter Sean Plunket says he will be back at work on Monday after being off air for the past two days.
Co-presenter of Radio New Zealand's (RNZ) flagship Morning Report programme, Plunket is understood to have had a disagreement with RNZ head of news Don Rood after an interview with Greens co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons on Wednesday.
"I can tell you that I am going to be broadcasting Morning Report on Monday morning ... and I look forward to reporting the news rather than making it," Plunket said today.
"So I'll be at work with Geoff (Robinson) on Monday morning."
Wednesday's interview questioned the Greens' response to a pamphlet put out by the Exclusive Brethren church, criticising the party.
A stream of listener complaints were received after Plunket followed on with an interview with National's Gerry Brownlee, whom respondents said he was much softer on. In emails read out on air he was repeatedly accused of showing political bias.
Ms Fitzsimons has since said she felt Plunket was rude during the interview, but she had not complained to RNZ.
Asked about the suggestions of bias all Plunket would say was: "I would note that the interview (with both politicians) was replayed in full on Late Edition that night ... I would just make that observation."
Asked about reports that he had a disagreement with Mr Rood, Plunket said he had been advised to "keep matters in the workplace in the workplace".
An RNZ spokesman said there was no official comment this evening on Plunket.
