KEY POINTS:
Former National leader Don Brash had a change of heart last night and attended a controversial play based on his time in politics.
He turned up to The Hollow Men at the Maidment Theatre in Auckland, a play which is based on Nicky Hager's book of the same name.
Don Brash said he was not all that happy with actor Stephen Papp's portrayal of him.
He said the play made him look "naive and goofy".
However Dr Brash admitted some parts of The Hollow Men were spot on.
"A few points I felt were fair, for example they made a big issue of how I changed my vote on the Civil Union Bill, that's not a decision I'm proud of at all."
"Other parts of it are quite clearly inaccurate."
Dr Brash's appearance at the play came on the same day police said they were unable to find the person who stole his emails and closed the case.
National Party donor Diane Foreman also attended The Hollow Men separately last night.
