KEY POINTS:
A plane made an emergency landing in a paddock just south of Rotorua this morning.
The plane was on a 10am scenic flight from Rotorua to Mt Ruapehu when it sent out a mayday call. Seven people were on board.
Rescue Co-ordination Centre spokesman Ross Henderson said the plane landed safely. No details of the plane's problem were available.
The Civil Aviation Authority and the Transport Accident Investigation Commission will be following up on the incident.
