Police and firefighters rushed to Wellington International Airport today after a jet reported a flat front tyre when coming in to land.
Emergency services raced onto the runway prepared for the worst, but the Vincent Aviation Dash-8 jet, carrying 35 passengers, landed safely.
Airport spokeswoman Louise Murray told NZPA the aircraft made its emergency landing about 2.30pm today.
