An aircraft with 17 people on board made a successful emergency landing at Christchurch Airport this morning.
The Mt Cook ATR flight, believed to be headed for Queenstown, turned back to Christchurch after an indicator light warned of an undercarriage problem.
An airport police spokesman said there was a light saying the undercarriage wasn't down, but it was and the plane landed safely about 7.45am.
