Plane lands safely after emergency scare

Emergency services were put on standby at Wellington International Airport this morning after a scare involving a light aircraft.

The pilot of the plane, which was carrying about five people, told airport authorities he was concerned with the aircraft's hydraulic system, police said.

The aircraft landed safely at Wellington Airport a short time later without incident.
