Marist kept their lead at the head of the Wairarapa-Bush club rugby premier division on Saturday with a 55-5 thumping of wooden-spooners Pioneer.
Marist raced in nine tries in total, including a penalty try in their win over Pioneer, who have yet to record a win this season.
Eketahuna maintained second spot on the table after a close 14-10 win over Gladstone, while Masterton Red Star moved into third spot alone after knocking over Martinborough 11-6.
Puketoi was toppled by East Coast 27-3. Carterton slipped into fourth place on the table with a comfortable 22-8 win over Greytown, with Jono Hurley kicking five penalties and a conversion for a personal tally of 17 points for the victors.
