KEY POINTS:
A pilot walked away uninjured when his light aircraft crashed on private farmland on the East Coast this morning.
Police said that the Fletcher FU24 Aerospace owned by Astro Air was being used for topdressing when it crashed off Mohaka Coach Road, Wairoa.
Inspector Michael Coleman said emergency services were still at the scene but the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was not hurt.
