The findings of the Pike River inquiry will be released early next week after the Royal Commission presented its report to the Government today.
The report comes more than six months after the commission wrapped up the last of its hearings into the November 2010 coal mine explosions in which 29 men were killed.
It will set out what happened in the disaster and what should be done to prevent future tragedies.
Commission chairman Graham Panckhurst presented the report to Governor General Lieutenant General Sir Jerry Mateparae today.
It was passed on to the office of Attorney-General Christopher Finlayson, the minister responsible for the commission.
