Pig stabbing backfires

A man is understood to have stabbed himself in the buttocks yesterday evening on Wellington's south coast after a pig "reacted violently" to being stuck.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter winched the 22-year-old out of bush and took him to Wellington Hospital, where he was in a stable condition with moderate injuries last night.
