There is concern for a missing pig hunter in the central North Island.
The 47-year-old man has not been seen since Sunday.
Police search and rescue and volunteers are scouring an area near Whakamaru, which is close to Mangakino. Senior Constable Barry Shepard says it has been very cold in the area the last few nights and the terrain in the area is rocky.
The search began yesterday morning.
