Alternative indie band The Phoenix Foundation is performing in the city on Sunday when Rainbow Springs brings in another original, quality Kiwi act for its summer series.
The Rotorua concert is the third in Rainbow Springs Summer Series, which going well, according to Fraser Leddie, Ngai Tahu Tourism regional general manager.
"We're really encouraged by the fantastic feedback from the attendees as well as the band themselves.
"The artists and our guests are saying that the acoustics of the venue are wonderful, and there is something quite magical about hearing live performances surrounded by native New Zealand bush.
"We've never done anything like this before at Rainbow Springs, but our all-weather arena and the intimacy of the venue is really quite unique," Mr Leddie said.
