Pharmac says it will fully fund a growth hormone that enhances the lives of children with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
The Government drug-funding agency will spend about $400,000 a year on subsidising the hormone.
About 20 children will get subsidised growth hormone for the disease, which causes a complex combination of symptoms including poor muscle tone that limits exercise and play, and constant hunger.
