Phar Lap's heart is heading home to New Zealand - for a month.
The National Museum of Australia in Canberra has agreed to lend one of its most prized exhibits to Te Papa museum as part of the Wellington Racing Club's centenary celebrations.
It's a coup for both Te Papa and the racing club, who joined forces in the request to Canberra.
The Australasian horse-racing legend, who died in mysterious circumstances in 1932, was one of NZ's most famous exports.
