KEY POINTS:
Winston Peters is expected to announce he is having another tilt at being MP for Tauranga today.
The New Zealand First leader is giving what he calls a keynote speech in Mt Maunganui this afternoon.
It is understood he plans to tell his audience he is running for the Tauranga seat.
Mr Peters won the seat for National in 1984, and took it again as an independent after resigning from the party in 1993.
He set up New Zealand First that year, and held Tauranga until losing to National's Bob Clarkson in 2005.
