One person has escaped a single car crash in Whakapara with minor injuries this morning.
Northern fire communications shift manager Steve Smith said emergency services were called to a crash at 10:10am on State Highway 1, Whakapara, about 20 minutes north of Whangarei.
Mr Smith said one patient escaped the crash with "a bump on the head", and there were no other reports of injuries.
"There's one person with a bump on the head and they're pretty much going home."
The crash was a single car crash and the person suffered status 3, or minor, injuries said northern police communications Inspector Peter Raynes.
