A person has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital after becoming trapped in machinery.
Emergency crews responded to the incident just after 11am today.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said crews were heading to a site on Huirimu Rd in Ōtorohanga.
He said just after 11.30am that crews were still on their way to the scene but confirmed they were responding to an incident involving a person being trapped in machinery.
A St John spokesman said the victim was taken in a serious condition to Waikato Hospital by rescue helicopter.
