One person has been seriously injured following a crash on State Highway 1 in Marlborough.
Emergency services were called to the crash between a car and a truck just after 10.30am.
Subsequently the highway at Redwood Pass is blocked and motorists are asked to use alternative routes as the roadis likely to remain closed for several hours.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and a helicopter has been called to transport the patient to hospital.
