A person has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after falling off a cliff in Taranaki.
Emergency services were called to a river mouth at White Cliffs in Waiiti, north of New Plymouth, just before 7am today, after a person fell from a coastal cliff into the surf below.
A police spokesman said following a water rescue, the person had been flown to Waikato Hospital via helicopter in a serious condition.
