One person has been pulled from a burning house in Christchurch this evening.
It is believed the blaze is still burning through a house on Aldwins Rd.
Three fire trucks were called to the scene of the house fire in Christchurch at 4.58pm after receiving multiple calls, southern fire communications shift manager Riwai Grace said.
He said upon arrival, firefighters pulled one person out of the house.
He said the person was suffering from "multiple burns" and had since been transported to hospital by ambulance.
St John Ambulance spokesman Ian Henderson said they were alerted to the fire at 5.07pm.
Two rapid response vehicles and two ambulances were sent to the scene.
