Long delays on train services around the city continue after a person was struck and killed by a train in South Auckland early this morning.
Emergency services were called to Te Mahia Railway Station, in Manurewa, just after 6am following reports a person had been hit by a train.
StJohn said they were called to the scene by police. A spokeswoman confirmed one person had been killed.
Police were still investigating the circumstances of the incident.
