A person who became trapped in a car after it rolled in a driveway on Rakino Island in the Hauraki Gulf has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
Emergency services were alerted to the accident at 3.50pm today, which left one person trapped by their legs inside the car, said a fire communications spokesman.
Two fire crews were transported to the island by Westpac Rescue Helicopter and extracted the person before transporting them to hospital for treatment.
