One person has been rescued from a car after it hit a power pole south of Auckland this morning.
The accident happened just before 8.30 on Karaka Road in Karaka.
The person had moderate injuries and had been trapped in their car.
The crash had brought a power pole down, a fire spokeswoman said.
Firefighters cut the person from the vehicle once the electricity had been isolated.
They've been taken to hospital in a moderate condition.
Police and ambulance were at also the scene.
