One person has critical injuries and two other are moderately injured after a crash on State Highway 1 in the Manawatu.
Police were called to a serious crash involving two cars on SH1 between Rongotea and Sanson on the Himatangi Straight in the Manawatu about 3pm.
One person suffered critical injuries in the crash and two other people received moderate injuries.
The road was closed in both directions for a time but had now re-opened, although there was a reduced speed limit in the area.
