The road has been reopened after a pedestrian was critically injured by a car in Lower Hutt this morning.
The person was hit by the car at 7.15am on Randwick Rd, and emergency services closed the road while they worked at the scene.
Motorists were asked to take alternative routes.
The patient has now been transported to hospital with critical injuries, and the road has been reopened.
