One person is a critical condition and two people have moderate to minor injuries following a serious crash south of Auckland.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on Karaka Road at Karaka at about 5.30pm.
Police have closed the road and have set up diversions on Oira Road, but are asking motorists to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
