A person has suffered burns after an early-morning fire in an industrial building in central Auckland.
Fire and Emergency northern communications shift manager Megan Ruru said the alarm was raised just before 4.15am after a blaze started in a bedroom on the suburban building's central mezzanine floor.
One person inside the Hannigan Dr property was treated for burned hands at the scene.
Ruru said seven crews were needed to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters were now dampening down hotspots before fire investigators looked into the cause of the pre-dawn blaze.
