KEY POINTS:
Ambulance staff have taken a person to hospital with 30 per cent burns following a house fire in Hamilton this morning.
The Fire Service received multiple calls about 10.40am to the fire in Brookview Court in the northeastern suburb of Queenwood.
Northern communications centre shift manager Brent Dunn said three appliances arrived at the scene to find the house well alight.
"We're still at the scene but we haven't needed more than three appliances there," Mr Dunn said shortly after midday.
He said one person was taken to Waikato Hospital with third degree burns.
Fire Safety officers were investigating.
