A permanent chief executive for the agency overseeing the Christchurch earthquake recovery is set to be announced this afternoon.
Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee called the 1pm meeting to name the head of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA).
Deputy State Services Commissioner John Ombler has been serving as temporary chief executive of CERA, which has a set lifespan of five years .
The agency is charged with guiding the earthquake recovery by tying together central and local Government, along with community and business groups and Ngai Tahu.
