Simon Best has moved from Adelaide to Auckland to become general manager table games for Sky City. He has had 20 years in the gaming industry in Britain, South Africa and Australia. Kevin Brewer joins the company as general manager group business development. He was director of finance and operations at Wendy's, and has also worked for Bancorp both here and in Australia. James Bews-Hair becomes manager government affairs. He was senior private secretary to Phil Goff and has also worked for the Tourism Industry Association, and as a research economist.

gen-i has promoted account manager Jacinta Parry to client manager. She has previously worked as a sales consultant for the Digital Equipment Corporation and as an account manager at Computerland.

Rachel Bakalich joins J.D. Edwards as supply chain development manager. She was in a similar position with Carter Holt Harvey and has also worked for SAP and PeopleSoft. Sanjiv Bansal becomes marketing consultant. He has worked with Intentia and Fletcher Challenge Steel and Wire.

Maria Robins is joining TelstraSaturn as general manager marketing. She was sales director of e-business for Unisys New Zealand. Stuart Wilson becomes general manager convergent services.

Rocom Wireless has appointed Jason Murray as a mobile computing specialist. He has previously worked on international projects with Portable Add-Ons in Britain and Advanced Portable Technology in Australia.

Craig Patterson is the new business manager of Pfizer Animal Health Group in New Zealand. He has been with the company for 15 years. Paul Fitzpatrick becomes marketing manager, Kylie Head national sales manager, and Dr Adrian Joe veterinary services manager.

Lakes District Health Board's new CEO is Cathy Cooney. She has been acting in that role since January. Ms Cooney joined Lakeland Health six years ago as a professional nurse adviser and later became service director of clinical support services.
