John Hackett has become a partner in the patent attorney and intellectual property law firm, A. J. Park & Son. He is a patent attorney and barrister and solicitor, with a background in intellectual property law, specialising in trade marks.

Marianne Fox has become associate director of Debbie Graham & Associates Ltd. She has been in the cosmetic industry, he last eight years as national sales manager with Estee Lauder New Zealand.

Auckland lawyer Bruce Galloway is one of three new partners in law firm Kensington Swan. The other new partners are Wellington-based Andrew Skelton and David Ireland. Warren Sceats is joining the firm as chief financial officer. Chris Parke, John Rooney, Greg Blanchard, Adam Pope and Peter Jones, have been appointed associates.

Sika (NZ) Ltd has promoted its marketing manager Peter Withell to New Zealand manager. He has been with the company for 10 years.

Mary Peters has joined the board of management of law firm Russell McVeagh McKenzie Bartlett & Co. She has been with the firm since 1995 and became a partner in 1997. Paul Oldfield has become partnership chairman, replacing Gerald Curry who has served the maximum two-year term. Mr Oldfield has been a partner since 1984.

Fiona Cuttance is taking up the new position of manager business services centre for the northern region of New Zealand Insurance. She was asssistanbt branch manager at NZI's Auckland broker branch, and has been with the firm for 16 years.
