* Designer Dave Clark has become communications and marketing director for Brave New World. His company, Dave Clark Design Associates, merged with Webmasters Network Ltd to form Brave New World. David Hiatt is the new online marketing manager. He was with Telstra Saturn Ltd in Wellington.
* Ann Walsh has joined Synergy Consulting Group as a senior consultant in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. She trained as a registered nurse, but for the last 10 years has worked in sales and marketing, five of them in senior management and national sales roles.
* Gary Warner has joined Tricom Futures Services Pty Ltd as marketing manager. He was manager with the Bank of New Zealand business banking. Mr Warner has over seven years' experience in the financial markets as a professional trader and sales manager.
* Chris Weaver is the new Auckland regional sales director for Lion Breweries. He has recently returned from Britain where he worked with Coca Cola as market development manager and with Virgin Group as marketing director for the London Broncos rugby league team.
* New Zealand has a new trade commissioner to New York. He is Brent Ogilvie who was Trade New Zealand's sector manager for agritech and life sciences in Auckland. He replaces Jane Cunliffe who moves to the newly-created position of investment director for North America for Investment New Zealand.
* Freightways Express Ltd has promoted David Tombs to general manager of Fetch, its recently launched e-commerce fulfilment business. He has been with the company for 13 years.
* Graham Joe is the new enterprise relationship manager, banking and finance, for Compaq Computer Ltd. He has held senior sales and management roles with Telstra, BellSouth, WordPerfect Corporation and IBM New Zealand. Bridget O'Shannessey becomes human resources director. She has worked for Carter Holt Harvey and Cadbury Confectionary in HR and customer relations.
* Gary Breed has joined J. D. Edwards as customer relationship manager. He has 20 years' IT experience. Alan Thomas has become account executive. He has had nine years in accounting and finance and has been in pre-sales roles with J. D. Edwards for four years.
