Two consultants for broking firm
TWO more consultants have been appointed by mortgage broking firm, Real Estate Finance Ltd. They are chartered accountant Peter Martin who has had 33 years in financial services, property investment, leasing and commercial property sales. He has worked with Sentry Investments, NZI Investment Services, NZ Guardian Trust and South British. Brent McWilliams has had 27 years with WestPac Trust, three years with the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation and 12 months in mortgage broking.
PETER Crossan is joining the CanWest New Zealand group of companies as chief financial officer. He has held similar positions with a number of companies here and overseas, and is general manager of carpet manufacturer, Godfrey Hirst New Zealand Ltd. The head of operations and engineering for TV3, Mike O'Connell, has become director of operations and engineering for the company, responsible for all the network's operations, engineering and transmission. He has been with TV3 for 10 years.
THE local government editor for legal publishing firm, DSL Publishing, Leeanne O'Brien, has moved to Simpson Grierson's Wellington public law team. She will however, remain a member of the DSL editorial panel.
David Thompson, formerly of Russell McVeagh, Wellington, has become DSL's new local government editor.
LOCAL Porsche importer, European Motor Distributors, has appointed Grant Smith to replace the retiring national sales and marketing manager, Trevor Hudson. Mr Smith has been with BMW New Zealand for the last 21 years in various roles, ranging from technical and training to marketing and service management. He also spent four years working for BMW AG in Munich. Mr Hudson will remain involved with the company as a member of the board.
MICHAEL Sage has become a commercial law partner of Simpson Grierson. He and several members of his team have joined Simpson Grierson from another law firm, where he was a partner for six and a half years. Mr Sage is experienced in telecommunications, electricity, waste disposal and water/wastewater, and also has corporate insolvency, insurance, manufacturing, engineering and construction experience.
