The new chancellor of the Auckland University of Technology is Wyn Hoadley, a North Shore city councillor and former Takapuna City mayor. She succeeds Dr Tony Lanigan. Ms Hoadley has been on the AUT council since 1995, and was deputy chairman and pro-chancellor. Rod Gates becomes pro-chancellor. He is chairman of an e-commerce technology company and is an international consultant, arbitrator and mediator.
