Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Ltd has appointed Peter Wilkins as retail manager for its eight Kirk Motors branches, Roadlife Trucks in Auckland and Palm City Motors in Napier. He was retail development manager for the company and has also owned and operated a retail vehicle dealership in Hawkes Bay. Michael Gapes becomes manager of Kirk Motors Newmarket.

Kerry McEnirney has become risk manager for New Zealand and Australia for Chrisco Hampers. He has worked as loss prevention manager with Dick Smith Electronics and Just Jeans, and also spent 14 years with the police. Adrian Van De Waardt joins the company as New Zealand operations manager. He has worked for Pak'n'Save, Progressive Enterprises and Foodstuffs.

Alwyn Riggs is the new chairman of the Grocery Marketers Association. He is general manager and director of Cork International and a former general manager and director of Sara Lee Household and Bodycare (NZ) Ltd. Mr Riggs is also on the boards of EAN (European Article Numbering) New Zealand, ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) New Zealand and ECR Australasia, and also serves on the Grocery Industry Council.

Whaimutu Dewes has joined the AMP New Zealand advisory board. He is chairman of Chatham Processing Ltd and Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd, a director of Sealord Products Ltd and a former director of TVNZ. Mr Dewes served 10 years on the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission.
