Telstra Saturn's new chief financial officer, Jason Hollingworth, was formerly executive director of Brierley Investments Ltd subsidiary AsiaPower Developments Ltd, investment manager of Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation Ltd and a director of SouthPac Corporation Ltd.

Mike O'Brien has joined software developer Keylogix as director, sales and marketing. He was general manager of Brocker Technology Group's New Zealand entities, Sealcorp Computer Products Ltd, Sealcorp Telecommunications Ltd and 1World Ltd.

Compaq Computer New Zealand has promoted Andrew Seerden to director of its commercial personal computing group. He replaces Sue Leikis who has moved to Singapore as director of channels development for Asia-Pacific. Mr Seerden has had 16 years in the IT industry here and in Europe, and joined the company in 1993. He was director of consumer and education.

Robbie Garscadden is joining SGI as channel sales manager. He was a relationship manager with EDS and previously worked for six years in Britain for a telco startup. Claire Kennedy becomes account manager. She has worked in an administration and sales support role for the company for four years.

Otago University's commerce assistant vice-chancellor, Professor David Buisson, has become dean of its newly-formed school of business and will hold both positions concurrently.

The former managing director of SeraNova, Ian Taylor, is SAP's new sales director for New Zealand. He has had almost 30 years in IT and has worked with Shell, Mocom Computer Group, Rank Xerox and Azimuth Consulting.
