Sally Logan-Milne has become chairman of Porter Novelli New Zealand following the merger of Logos Porter Novelli and Crossman Porter Novelli. Neil Green, who was general manager of Logos Porter Novelli, has become managing director of the merged firm. Jill Dryden, who was managing director of Crossman Porter Novelli, is now managing director of Porter Novelli Auckland.

Meadow Lea Foods has named Shane Paramore as senior product manager, oils category. He was product manager vaccines with SmithKline Beecham (NZ) Ltd, and has also worked with Cadbury Confectionery Ltd.

Gina O'Brien has left her job as sales manager at the Bruce Mason Centre to become conference and incentive manager at Millennium Rotorua. Lynley Martin, who was manager of the Rotorua Convention Centre, joins the hotel as conference services manager.

Cisco Systems has transferred Kevin Coghlin from Australia to Auckland to work as a systems engineer, responsible for the design and implementation of a range of networking systems in the enterprise market. He has been with Cisco since 1995, working as a systems engineer in Sydney and Melbourne. Before that he was a networking specialist with IBM in Australia and the United States. Neil Lofthouse has taken up a similar role for Cisco in Wellington.

Crystal Beavis is joining the Researched Medicines Industry Association as communications manager. She has a background in marketing communications, public relations, advertising and journalism here and overseas, and was a partner in the management and marketing consultancy Bridger Beavis & Associates.

American Express has appointed Bruce Emery as head of its establishment services group. He was national manager of the company's strategic relationship group in Australia and has also worked in the fast moving consumer goods industry.

Geologist Ralph Stagg has become a director of Heritage Gold NZ Ltd. He has more than 25 years' experience in various metals and industrial minerals in Australia, South-east Asia, the United Kingdom and Africa. Mr Stagg also serves as a director of two Australian mineral companies. Vicky Douglas has retired as secretary of the company and has been replaced by Alison Griffiths.

The former Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Richard Nottage, has been made a director of the Institute of Economic Research. During his 37-year diplomatic career he led delegations at high-level foreign policy and trade talks, in negotiations with other governments, and with international and regional organisations.

Marc de Cure is the new chief financial officer of AMP Ltd. He was a partner with PriceWaterhouse Coopers where he was a member of its global executive, and held numerous senior management positions including head of the firm's risk management practice in Australia and Asia.
Ericsson New Zealand has promoted Lars Eriksson to general manager for the Telecom account. He has been with Ericsson for 21 years, six of which were spent in the United States. Before coming to New Zealand he was director of business management, new and global operators in Spain, Portugal and the Americas, for Ericsson's wireline systems. He replaces Sven-Ake Damgaard who has moved to another position with Ericsson in London.
