American internet networking company Cisco Systems continues to expand its New Zealand operation with the appointment of Kevin Lohr as enterprise account manager, and David Keirle as optical account manager.
Mr Lohr, who joins the company from South African IT firm PQ Africa, will develop relationships with key customers. Mr Keirle will focus on Cisco's optical networking options into New Zealand and the Asia/Pacific region. He was previously with Pirelli Cables in Australia and has done product marketing for Cisco in Asia and the Pacific.

Tax law expert Grant Sidnam has moved from Gosling Chapman to join law firm Hesketh Henry. He will advise on corporate taxation, GST and international tax, and is experienced in handling disputes with the Inland Revenue Department. Hesketh Henry has also appointed Mark O'Connell as human resources manager. He was an employment consultant with Drake Executive.

Sky City has appointed Greig Dean to the new role of general manager-group support services. He will be responsible for human resources, property services and security and surveillance across the Sky City group, including the Adelaide Casino and the new Queenstown casino. Mr Dean has worked in human resources, sales and strategic planning for companies in the telecommunications and manufacturing sectors, including Cable and Wireless in London and Hong Kong, and Zespri International.

Shaun Robinson is the new face at the front of the Sheraton Auckland Hotel and Towers. The chief concierge entered the hospitality business six years ago and has specialised in lobby service management. Mr Robinson was recently accredited to the society of professional concierges, Les Clefs d'Or Internationale.

Bluebird Foods has appointed Phil Huse as operations director and Lynne Banks as retail sales director.
Mr Huse, who has spent the past decade in Australia with food company Simplot, will be responsible for Bluebird's manufacturing, planning, process and packaging development and quality assurance.
Ms Banks, who previously worked for Nabisco and Nestle and has been with Bluebird since 1995, will lead the company's teams in key account, route and vending channels.
