Greg Twiname is rejoining Geac Computers NZ Ltd as pre-sales consultant. He worked for the company some years ago before joining JD Edwards, where he worked in Sydney as manager of New Zealand and Australian pre-sales. Jon Brewerton becomes client manager. He has had sales positions with Comacc and Tenuteq.

Commercial and insolvency law specialist Mike Whale has joined Lowndes Associates as a consultant. Mr Whale, who is also a qualified accountant, is the co-convenor of the Law Society and Institute of Chartered Accountants joint insolvency law reform committee. He also serves as honorary consul-general for Thailand in Auckland.

Peter Batcheler is the new general manager of HPM New Zealand Ltd. He replaces John Billing who joins the parent company, HPM Industries Pty Ltd, as group development manager South Pacific. Mr Batcheler was general manager of James Hardie Building Systems and has also been with Fletcher Challenge.

Conor Collier has joined the design/build and acquisition team of Property for Industry Ltd. He was with WestpacTrust where he was responsible for handling property divestment following the merger of the two banks. He has also worked in the property industry in Wellington and London.

Charles Worth has been made a partner of CST Management Ltd. He has a background with the firm in business advisory services, and has previous public and commercial accountancy experience. Susan Turton, a specialist in primary sector accounting, has become an associate.

Informix has seconded Stephen Yao from Hong Kong to Auckland to work as i.business intelligence manager. He was director of data warehousing and web/e-commerce business in Hong Kong. Robert Clow has joined the firm as a consultant. He was assistant IT-manager with Vodaphone.

Sarah Jackson has joined Stamford Auckland as development manager, responsible for commercial accounts in New Zealand and conference sales in New South Wales. She has been with Sky City, Quality Hotel Logan Park and the Plaza International in Wellington.
