Oxfam New Zealand has named a former management consultant, Terri-Ann Scorer, as its new executive director. A former civil engineer, she has most recently been an associate with the Boston Consulting Group specialising in organisational strategy.
She has also worked for a French development agency and on engineering projects in Laos and Vietnam. She replaces Oxfam NZ's founding executive director, Phil Twyford, who is off to Washington DC as director of advocacy for Oxfam International.
* Sage New Zealand has appointed Richard Hooper as business account manager. He was an Accpacc sales consultant after working in software implementation and sales in New Zealand, Australia and Britain.
* Chris Adams is taking up the newly created position of general manager, strategic business development, with Jasons Travel Media. He has just returned from Colorado, where he was vice-president of Internet Web operations for a United States web technology and e-commerce company. Before that he was the product manager for Newmans Tours and then the chief executive of Tourism Coromandel.
* Telecom Directories Ltd has promoted Jo Fuller to communications manager. She was the communications specialist for the company.
* Patrick Whitmore has joined the architectural division of the NZF Group of Companies as business development manager. He is originally from England, and has a sales and marketing background in engineering in New Zealand and Australia. Debra Northmore has been promoted to marketing communications manager for the company.
* Gareth Morgan has become a partner with Ernst & Young. He has more than 20 years experience in general management and corporate finance in New Zealand and overseas. For the past three years he has spearheaded the establishment of Ernst & Young's corporate finance activity.
* Marcel van Dijck has come from Singapore to become New Zealand AMP Ltd's director of sales and marketing. In Singapore, on secondment from New Zealand, he was the regional business director for AMP's Asia-Pacific telecommunications business unit for two years.
* Paul Warner is the new managing director of Sharp Corporation of New Zealand Ltd. He was previously the marketing manager of Fuji Xerox New Zealand.
* Air New Zealand has appointed Tony Moffat as its manager for the New Zealand region. He has been with the company since 1979 and returns to Auckland after almost nine years overseas - firstly as manager for North Asia, based in Hong Kong, and latterly as manager for Europe, based in Antwerp.
* Mike Smith will manage the new Wellington office of Marac Finance Ltd. He has had 10 years experience in the industry.
* Scott Fuller is Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products' new general manager for Australia marketing and sales. Since 1997 he has been the timber marketing manager.
